About
Igbo Community Aberdeen Women (ICAWW), founded in 2022, is a community-based organisation that brings together Igbo women living in Aberdeen and surrounding areas. The group provides an inclusive and supportive space that promotes connection, cultural continuity, wellbeing, and mutual respect.
Guided by the principle of 'Nwanne Amaka' sisterhood and collective responsibility, the organisation welcomes women of all ages and backgrounds. Through community engagement, cultural activities, and peer support, Igbo Community Aberdeen Women works to strengthen social bonds, support personal and collective wellbeing, and contribute positively to the wider community.

We believe in the power of Igbo women to embrace their identity, define their future, and positively impact their communities and the world.

Igbo Community Aberdeen Women's mission is to create a supportive and inclusive environment for Igbo women, promoting cultural heritage, personal growth, and community engagement.

Our Vision
Our vision is to see Igbo women thriving personally, culturally, and socially, making meaningful contributions to the community and beyond.
